Veronica Bruce
Oslo
Mood Swings is a book and an internal universe depicted from a body that is battling illness. Bruce developed this language over time, as an extension of her sculptural and choreographic practices. Veronica is interested in the format of the book as a living form, where meaning is felt through durational and tactile ways of reading. In honour of ten years of close-knit collaboration Veronica’s writing is accompanied by Karoline Bakken Lund’s illustrations and co-designing of the book.
Veronica Molin Bruce (b.1989) is an artist and choreographer based in Oslo. Mood Swings is a continuation of a body of work from her exhibition On Feeling at Good Weather gallery in Chicago (2022). The book is published by Knapt Forlag and printed at Blekksprutn in Oslo on a riso machine. One of the illustrations is a take-out postcard printed at Colorama in collaboration with «Termindruck» in Berlin. The project is kindly supported by the Norwegian Arts Council and NBK.
