Kunstbok Oslo was founded in 2024 by initiator Tanja Sæter, who is also the person behind Coast Contemporary, a platform for art and discourse.

The advisory board for Kunstbok Oslo consists of Nicholas Norton and Timotheus Vermeulen.
Nicholas Norton is an art critic and writer living in Oslo. He has written for publications such as Kunstkritikk, Biledkunst, Artforum, Frieze, The Vessel, Wuxia and Norsk Kunstårbok and holds an MFA in Art History from the University of Oslo.
Timotheus Vermeulen is a professor of media, culture and society at the University of Oslo, Norway, and a 23/24 visiting scholar in history of art and architecture at Harvard University, USA. He writes, speaks and teaches on critical theory, aesthetics, screen media and (contemporary) art. Vermeulen is co-founder of the now defunct webzine Notes on Metamodernism, co-editor of the book series Studies in Metamodernism, a cultural and concept consultant, and a regular contributor to public discourse. Together with Gia Milinovich he hosts the weekly podcast of ideas The Cluster F Theory.
