Ingrid Bjørnaali
Oslo, Norway
Ingrid Bjørnaali (b. 1991, based in Oslo) works with recording in the form of video, photogrammetry and sound, as well as with sculpture and text. Her works explore human coexistence with other species and the omnipresence of the digital in our experience of the world, as well as the inadequacy of technology when it comes to understanding physical and living matter. Bjørnaali holds an MFA from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts and a 'Time and Space Arts' degree from the Taideyliopiston Kuvataideakatemia in Helsinki. She has recently exhibited at, among others, the Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM Tallinn), Charles Street Video (Toronto, Canada), Neuer Berliner Kunstverein (Germany), Fabbrica Del Vapore (Milan, Italy), Kunstsilo and Tromsø Kunstforening.

Gadder (2025)
Gadder inneholder en samling av døde, stående trær som kunstneren har besøkt og oppsøkt som monumenter i myrer i Norge, Finland og Estland. Gaddene er fotografert og gjort om til 3D modeller ved hjelp av fotogrammetri-programvarer, og kombinert med tekst basert på research og feltnotater fra de besøkte myrene.
Boka er risografi-trykket ved Blekksprutn risotrykkeri, 3 farger på 150g papir, i et opplag på 50 eksemplarer, hver og en sydd sammen med symaskin. Den ble produsert i forbindelse med utstillingen “Testing the Membranous Boundaries” ved Lydgalleriet, januar 2025, i regi av Bergen Senter for Elektronisk Kunst i forbindelse med BEKs åpningsuke 2025. Takk også til residensen Mustarinda og til kurator Karolin Tampere i samarbeid med EKKM/Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia for guidet tur i Soomaa nasjonalpark i Estland.
