"Handpicked - on excursions in the image archive"
is a book about photography and its contemporary role, but also a book filled with visual stories. Engaged, it arouses thought and discussion about several of the social issues of our time. In the book, a number of artists and researchers have examined images of people, animals and nature in modern photography and in visual archives. The publication focuses on photographic archives and museum collections, and the stories and ideas these create and co-create.
